What the heck is Unexpected Danger?

Unexpected Danger started out as a merch website back in the year 2008. The mission?
Offering dangerously good deals on unique and cutting-edge apperal. Unexpected Danger partnered
with the infamous Ninjas In AXEtion, who were last seen vowing to "climb the moon tomorrow"
and haven't been heard from, since. We also partnered up with the nefarious Team Rocket;
which ran roughshod up and down the west coast for a decade or so at Pokemon events.

"Unexpected Danger may occur."

Unexpected Danger went dormant sometime around 2015, ushering in an age of relative safety.
Team Rocket achieved their goals and disappeared, while the N.I.A. remained M.I.A.
The domain rights to UnexpectedDanger.com lapsed, and the website briefly became a dull blog.
It seemed the danger had well and truly subsided... But the danger was always there, waiting.
Enter: The Sleeves. From Ninja assassins to a Pokemon crime syndicate, to now a Gundam Model
slanging paramilitary organization, it seems the danger has made itself known once more.

Who are The Sleeves?

Formed sometime in 2014, The Sleeves Oregon Gunpla Community had one goal: bring Gunpla to the
masses. Over the years, the ranks grew, as did their experience and power. By 2015, The Sleeves were
already bringing home "best in show" trophies at local IPMS model competitions, as well as travelling to
competitions in Washington and even Canada. Along with this, The Sleeves were actively growing the hobby,
by hosting various "Build & Take" events for beginners at Conventions such as Comic Con, Kumoricon,
Wasabicon, Fan EXPO PDX, and more.

These activities have continued into the present, as The Sleeves battled through the pandemic, continuing
to bring entertainment and events to the masses, as well as giving more Gunpla fans a community to call
their own. The Sleeves have inspired and influence numerous other clubs, and even spawned a copycat or two.
Unexpected Danger has become the de-facto home for arguably the most influential Gunpla group in the country,
and the merch sold here directly funds their continued operations.

Today, The Sleeves are the largest and longest running Gunpla group in the Pacific Northwest, as well as
the most active Gunpla group on the West Coast. For over 10 years, the club has been hosting events,
winning awards, supporting local shops and artists, and growing the hobby... with no sign of
slowing down. No other club measures up to the level of consistency and success that The Sleeves
has maintained for over a decade. Much like The Sleeves , the danger is here to stay.
